Arts participation and SAT scores

Question: does participation in the arts have anything to do with SAT scores?

Answer: Yes, they do correlate positively!  Generally, the more participation in the arts, the higher the score.  Research is here.

The arts are part of the core educational experience for all students at TPA and TPJA.  Our curriculum, 6th through 12th grades, calls for all students to participate in an arts class every semester.
