Music improves mental health
I have had the experience of sitting down to listen to some music when I've felt soul-weary and mentally depleted. At such times, listening to some music or even playing some music on the piano can bring me back into balance.
It seems research bears out this experience. Music may improve mental health as much as exercise, according to some studies.
