Did Jesus claim to be God? Was he God?

So much mercy and yet there is Hell.

Why do natural disasters occur?  Why does God allow them to inflict pain on so many people? 

If there is no God, how do we know what evil is?  Is it just stuff that we don’t like? 

If God is good, why so much evil in the world?

Is the doctrine of the trinity a contradiction?
