Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks, and invents.

A composer's composer, Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) set a new standard in musical composition and expression. The great Johannes Brahms said of him, "You can’t have any idea what it’s like always to hear such a giant marching behind you!"
